Quick & Delicious Eggless Cake Recipe By Our In-house Chef Ajinkya G!
Ingredients:
2 Pack of oreos, 1 pack of Marie biscuits, baking soda, 2 cups of milk, 1/4th cup sugar, oil, butter, Amul dark chocolate bar, decorative products/gems as per preference.
Base Making:
- Grind 2 Pack of Oreos and 5 marie biscuits in fine powder and mix it with 1/2 Tablespoon of baking soda (No water to be added)
- Add 1 cup of mild warm milk to the mixture and stir it well
- Pour the mixture into one stainless steel vessel (Make sure the vessel is greased well with oil before pouring into it)
Baking Process:
- To give a steam/microwave effect – take one bigger vessel with the bottom covered with salt, keep a stand in the center and place the vessel with the cake mixture on it.
- Cover the big vessel with the lid (too much heat might cause lid to bend, then cover lid with cloth like when making idli)
- Heat it in medium flame for 30-40 mins and keep checking the base by poking a toothpick at the center of the base. If the toothpick has no material stuck to it, consider the base is ready.
- Take the vessel out and keep it open in the room for 10-15mins to cool down. Take base out of the vessel and put it on the garnishing dish.
Garnishing process:
- Take 1 Amul Dark chocolate bar (Milk base would also work) and melt it in the oven for 30secs. Stir it well until the lumps are removed.
- Put it on the base, or if layers are required then cut the base from the center and put it there too.
- After adding the chocolate to it, you can decorate with added decorative products like Gems or dry fruits.
- Store in the refrigerator for 30 mins.
